The rest of the world will just buy Asian cars and get on with it.

It’s a fantastic dessert. I have also made the topping from just some whipped cream and tinned coconut cream. Never skip the syrup!

Not sure about music but i do have a fav recipe. Layali Lubnan (Lebanese Nights dessert). I am wishing them peace too.
For a whilst there was a button at the top to view a random lemmy. It helped me explore.
And that’s the problem, i live where there is a different political setup so i am trying to be mindful of the layers you guys have and how someone rises to power. I admit tv and media has in the past shaped what i thought was the case.
You are right. It’s something I am trying to figure where and how I make a difference. What force do I have. It’s more that I have been conditioned this think support of a parties policy is a way forward. My mind is shifting, but I am only one person.

If the author has passed/sold the rights to a distributor then is reproducing it via an alternative method a detriment to the author?
They are are the ones agreeing to reproduction. If the author is the sole owner they reserve the right to recreate and distribute themselves. Modern day media has many owners of the process…who all seek rent from you to listen/watch. Who would you pay?
Have you seen Heretic? In some of the scenes Hugh Grants character explores the idea of originality and uses music to do that. If an song is inspired by another song does that mean you have to pay towards the original song?
You could spend forever rationalising who deserves payment. That’s why we entrusted distributors to put a product in front of us based on value of that product.

That’s a really good point, you are not stealing the core product, its a reproduction, and one that you are invited to rent, rather than own. Interpretation is key.
By the same thinking we reproduce and consume other things - words, memes, recipes and don’t consider that stealing.
My stance on the ethics of piracy is - the procurement of something is based on what is a fair value. If that commodity is available via several routes I will always play fair. If the provider tries to extort that commodity past fair then I will look to another provider - If you had a toll road that saved you 5 mins and charged $1 fair, if they then start to charge £25 - I will revert to the back roads, is that considered immoral?

Why all the sudden posts about tipping culture and foreign currency? I have seen 2 in 24 hours.
I am out of the loop on something here?

What kind of phycopath does not add garlic to everything. 🤣

Oh good thinking. Just normal or have you used pickled?

Just deleted due to fixed. It was the general strike one. Tried it several times just took me to no where.
Great book recommendation on that page. I can’t read online. Gonna have to order it in print but it feels counter productive.

Is it not easier to ask the regional businesses if they have website/rss/newsletters? And point out meta are gonna be forcing you to compromise your privacy. Places will soon look at when their userbases shrink.

Above is true. You did things the right way and it is still not enough.
Be jolly!

Dialogue is a big part. I think the thing I have noticed in the internet is the reduction of red vs blue. Old vrs young. Left vs Right…etc etc
This seems to encourage a right vrs wrong arguments or a virtuous points scoring system. Deploying a dog whistle slogans is a tactic of either side of this
I view it as an effort to shut down the other side rather than hold dialogue and debate.

Annie’s song. Don’t know why, it makes me cry.

ok i added soulbeet which works with slskd. It isnt bad, simple enough to setup like the arrs. UI is simple to navigate but basic functionality.
In terms of finding content it does, but its a tad slow, its a good 90 seconds cycle to typing a song title, it then looks for it, i confirm its the correct option, it then relooks for the actual file. It then bounces across to a dl list.
Mine 90% says error but when i look in slskd its kinda actioned.
It is supposed to move the file from download to my library, it does not do that, i have the same with lidarr…so i think thats something wrong in my setup…i suspect filepath confusion.
It does not import playlist (dev says coming) or multiplesongs/a list facility. so its just type a song at a a time.
It places everything in a ‘singles’ folder which seems to sit alongside the albums folders. which is not quite a cohesive library. When i chose to manually move my singles (due to the non auto move) it took all my content inc the albums and put everything as singles, so now my library jellyfin/finamp does not display albums. Library management is tricky…anyone got a suggested setup?

directly from lidarr Add Import List - Custom List? or using a different tool?
