I just found it so funny how much snob copium Mensa is, like theres no way I have 129+ IQ. If I would care enough to find out i wouldnt pay 100€ either. At best IQ is an irrelevant metric at worst its used by terrible people who think IQ is an all-encompassing intelligence metric to boast about how allegedly smart they are.

ublock Origin or AdNauseam is the cure to your ailment. Speaking of quality of life improvements any degoogled or privacy oriented browser is also an improvement. Personally I use Zen browser, not as hardened as other browsers but good enough for me and has nice features and design aswell :)

Yeah, I lade my acc a year ago and iirc they didnt have voice chat then. Now they seem to have better permissions for channels, vc and video/screen sharing around the corner. Only thing Im lacking is fediverse type of instances so we can only pray that will be developed one day. Jesus i worked at exactly this kind of project once. The only other dev was also very hostile and protective of this position. He did not want me there in the slightest. Took about 6 months before we cancelled the contract since this dude was just actively harrassing me in Teams DMs on the daily and he just ignored all my concerns regarding maintainability since “he could understand the code” and i was probably just “not experienced enough”.

Don’t downplay what this does to your mental health. 5 years of workplaces like this and I’m now starting to see a therapist due to exhaustion disorder symptoms in my goddamn 20s. Take care our there!

My fiance always tells me how much she hates me complaining about things and not doing anything to improve it, and i think that’s a fair point. She has had to continuously tend for herself, fighting health care, education system and society to get by. And that really made me understand that complaining without doing anything is both priveleged and stupid. I have more respect towards others than trying to force Linux down their throats, but just complaining and ignoring a solution, even if all the circumstances line up perfectly, is just dumb. Complaining is justified, not doing anything or pretending you can’t is not. That being said, the Linux community is obnoxious and, in many cases, has the worst case of superiority complex, although i do believe we have gotten way better at that and are way more welcoming now than before.
