Yep mine too after only a couple years. I knew it was going to be a problem when I bought the phone, but I do like the true black…
Ehhhhh, given the voting and representation systems we have, a two party system is a logical result, especially when all voters are rational.
I come just imagine sometime reading too much into it, that’s all… It’s the internet.
My parents installed “Net Nanny” to keep me from watching porn or spending too much time on the internet as a middle-schooler. (Trust me, they’re good and accepting parents.) Anyway, I figured out that all you had to do was not click “okay” on the startup-induced message window and Net Nanny never started the controls or timer.
To be clear about Lincoln, he was handed a request for an even bigger mass hanging, and reduced it down to 38. He didn’t think he could deny the having request entirely without ending up ignored and having even more people killed. You can call him whenever names you like, but his intent was to keep as many people alive as he thought he could.
Nope. Decades of people choosing Republicans is what got us here.
But again, change the system, don’t ask people to change. They never will.
If we remove the Republicans, things get better. If we remove the Democrats, things stay the same. It’s not a question of who is better, but who is worse. Until we change the voting and representation systems (hello Approval Voting and Sequential Proportional Approval Voting) picking the lesser evil is the only logical and moral choice.
Okay, actually though? Keep the mustache, drop the beard, and cut weight (fix your diet) and you would be killer. You look great now, but I can see an even hotter version of you in your future with just a little hard work.
That is literally what the argument is caused by, adaptive perception to lighting conditions.

World News@lemmy.ml•82% of Israelis Support Ethnic Cleansing in Gaza, Poll FindsEnglish
1·1 year agoThe way statistics work, 1000 people is more than adequate for a population the size of Israel. It’s honestly overkill, if anything. The real question is “are the respondents a representative sample?” That is, is the way you chose who to question and how to question them introducing any systemic bias in your results? For this survey, if everyone lived in the West Bank, that would be a clear source of bias in the data. But if people are randomly selected by, say, phone number, then you would have to worry about more subtle biases before agreeing that the data is sound.
We gotta change to proportional representation if we want different results from our government.
Paint trick would leave the option for higher quality, a screen grab leaves you at screen grab resolution.

1·1 year agoI literally only use it when a how-to guide explains exactly what to do and why. Then I forget what I did and look up how to do it again six months later. I’m fine with this arrangement, though I will prefer to have to use it less.
No complaints so far! What did the reviews say? I’m using a 16 with the graphics module.

14·1 year agoDoes Framework sell a laptop with Linux pre-installed or do they only have officially supported distros?
I got a framework, which is built around quality parts, repairability, and upgradeability. Theoretically it’s the last laptop I will ever buy.
Man, I guess there’s no point in even trying to improve the system if there’s going to be opposition.
I will advocate to replace it when I’m in office and a Democrat, against the protests of some of my co-workers. As the other commenter pointed out, Newsom killed an anti-FPTP bill, but that means there’s enough support in the California legislature to get a bill to his desk.
