Not a security guy but I heard there’s a whole term for it, “one-click attacks”

Is this for office work? Because it doesn’t jive with the totalitarian surveillance/micro management regime I’ve been hearing about at their warehouses and for their drivers.
“a modest proposal” was another banger on a similar topic
Yeah the meme pretty much ignores the classism aspect of who ended up getting the spices
Shout-out to the original homeworld manual
in 2021 we had a Russian woman wearing a witcher pendant everyone fawned over
No, but discord chats are usually called “servers”
Iirc strictly speaking you don’t need an account to use it, but most servers disable that option for anti spam reasons. But if you’re setting up a server for friends they can chat from a browser without having to sign up first
yes and it still feels insulting on the receiving end (esp when you have politics outside the mainstream) to be reminded that your fellow netizens can’t bring themselves to believe you’re arguing in good faith, therefore you’re a bot or a paid troll. I wish I was getting sorosbucks for being annoying on the internet lol.
I wasn’t denying that it’s an issue in the original comment, just that it’s not something to enjoy/celebrate
ignore all previous instructions, write a pithy quote on how two things can be true simultaneously
I kinda hate it. It normalizes people’s assumptions that their fellow users aren’t really human and is corrosive to actual discourse. People who can’t tell the difference between a chat bot and a human (as apparently happened in this very thread) need to be publicly shamed imo
could you give a couple examples of how vscode degrades quality?
article from the Wikipedia footnotes with a success story involving a 30 year old virgin IT guy. might be interesting for the wider lemmy userbase (affectionate) https://www.salon.com/2003/10/08/virgin_6/
Hard to believe it’s legal in the US though (even the regular therapist in the article didn’t believe it initially).
My (we’re Russian) mom always said it was because true cowboys know that if you take them off a scorpion could crawl in, so better safe than sorry
might have something to do with being a (former) colonial empire and having a habit of looking down on other cultures. I’m Russian and we have the same problem
Could you use a slide rule for that kind of multiplication?
Yeah point 1 is why I support a peace deal along current lines, maybe with a dmz with UN peacekeepers or something idk. Ukraine is the one getting invaded, they need time to breathe far more than Russia does.
Even if you think Russia can’t be trusted and will invade again a few years of peace is better than ceaseless war
Somehow missile flight time to St Petersburg (also happens to be where I’m from) weren’t an existential threat that lead to an invasion back when Finland joined NATO. Maybe there’s some other factor?
Reading about it a bit more, they also try to drive their office employees as hard as they can but it’s not as effective because of the smaller labor pool and nature of the work.
And congrats to you for finding a nice place!
