You shall not own anything

You shall not own anything

Exactly! Distributor should not be able to lock you in with exclusive content, this kills the free market of distribution of media
Like now we have competitors fighting against each other for having the best library, but they don’t compete against each other in the case of technology of distribution
For example A disney plus exclusive has a monopol distribution way, there is no competition about how to serve the content. Meaning, there is no incentive to improve distribution. Simple capitalism. Capitalism “works” only in favour of the consumer, as long as the government ensures free market everywhere by regulating too big players who are destroying the whole concept.
If a newcomer can’t enter a market anymore, the market is not free.

I am at step 3, but if you only start piracy when it is already gone, well then it is already gone…
So we have to archive earlier to avoid lost media as well as start seeding earlier to ensure redundancy to avoid lost media
In my opinion, it is very important to give our history of art to the future of humanity. Proactive piracy is the only way to achieve this in times of sudden complete delistings and removal of access to already bought games.

Yea, and it is ultimately Spotify who had an exploit that allowed the circumvention of DRM in the first place.
It is like Spotify is getting paid for having shitty tech that doesn’t do what it supposed to do correctly

Yes, as if they ever get that hypothetical money from Anna 🤣 it is just wasted money

Thank you very much! 🫶🏻

I see, had similar issues on my endeavourOS install where I switched the drivers after initial installation (i think it was still 550 or 560) with a 980
But since I freshly installed endeavourOS, using the nvida boot option when i booted from the stick, on my new system containing a RTX 4000 Quadro and of course a newer mainboard, I have not stumbled on a miss behaving of the GPU other than once where it took a bit longer to wale from standby and tty outputing something GPU error for a short time.
I must confess, I have not a lot time to game, but have now a 1h on cyberpunk and 1h beamNG through proton And weekly a meating using kmeet
And of course information from my various YouTube channels featuring Linux news content

These days modern NVIDIA cards have no real issues anymore using the proprietary drivers 😇🫶🏻
Yea, but that is required for paying via QR code as well
Well, you get such cards free if you have an account at a bank
We have a mixed system here, as contactless pay with cards and the local solution using QR Codes came at a similar time, but local banks did block apple pay and other phone solutions (you had to order a credit card from services like boon to use apple pay). Small events or business like shops on farms have just the QRcode, no terminal.
Later, banks allowed apple pay directly and the terminals got an update to show QRcodes. And the local solution allows bank to bank payments in seconds without fees.
These facts and the case that internet connection is pretty good anywhere here, has let, that most people have the local solution and at least a NFC debit card. And since debit cards now can be added to apple pay, many have this too.
Sadly I know no statistics how well the local solution can hold against the nfc payments
What I know is, that nearly zero people pay with cash anymore

Not really in use due to time constraints but i have installed pro-audio, which is a nice collection of linux compatible audio software:
https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/pull/4881/commits/e0b20cd2744aa157852968e0df984430261408cb
But it seems like it is not widely offered by public instances…
Edit: seems to be planned for 1.0 release (major update after 0.19 if I understood that correctly)

You should use Arch, then you can update every 15 minutes 🤭

Maybe jellyseerr is something for you 😇
On your phone while being on the go in 5 minutes?

But they use curser and cloud (probably meaning claude as it is used in curser pro)
Isn’t claude code considered SOTA vibe coding right now?
And i understood it like you can choose what fancy tool you use. The vibe manager who generated this, probably, just told their LLM to use SOTA AI coding tools in their prompt for this job description.

“Senior” is implying exactly that, I thought…
I grab only video because I refuse to use shitty streaming tech as well as a uncertain ever changing librarys
