My wife’s stepfather got something while working in Africa that destroyed his liver over the course of months. He finally had to get a transplant. Cause was never identified.

A friend sent some time in an induced coma while they tried to sort out her situation. Turned out to be Zika. She “recovered” but isn’t the same. Several strokes, etc.

Met in 1984. Engaged around 1986. Various hardships ensued. Purchased house together in 2000. Married in 2004. Kid in 2009.

I use a bath towel folded twice the short way. Nice and flat for back sleeping. I can make it thicker for side sleeping by folding the end under as needed when I roll over. But I use a CPAP so I don’t roll much at all.

Ukulele is so simple it is often taught in grade school. And it has a lot of capability to grow into.

An autoharp can make great accompanyment to almost every popular song from the last 100 years.

Lap dulcimers are often set to one key - making simple songs a matter of sliding up and down the fretboard.

But my favorite is the stick dulcimer. The most famous is the Strumstick. Also sometimes sold as cigar box guitars or other odd names. If you want to just strum out the simple tunes, it’s unbeatable. Watch a few Strumstick Bob videos. It’s not bullshit. Just don’t drop full price on a new name brand stick as it’s easy to find beautiful instruments inappropriate for a raw beginner.

New York has quite a bit going for it. I think we can stand up for ourselves. I think Jersey, Connecticut, and Vermont would join us right out of the gate. I’d certainly support secession.

Additionally, NY plus CA seceding would put way too much pressure on the remainder for the rest of the states to manage the federal government. If Texas secedes for the opposite reasons, that’s the end of it.

I’d like to know if there is are general differences between the branches. Like, is the Air Force more liberal?

A 2Mw diesel is too big for a regular truck. But not as big as a small house. My prior data center drew 4Mw. My current data center (AI-oriened) draws 30Mw.
