This is it. Lemmy just isn’t designed the same as reddit and its gonna take a bit for you to find and explore different communities on here before your feed has a steady flow of new stuff, and even then it won’t be as much as reddit.

Right now I think it’s more just a collective of individual action, not so much a group of people that meet up. It’s also near impossible with how monitored everything is these days. Be careful where and how to talk about this stuff tho. Anything that has a speaker has the potential to listen, even if it’s “turned off”.

I heard he had mentioned going to Switzerland to use their euthanasia pods at one point. Pretty humane way to go instead of letting your body slowly deteriorate for a few years imo

Damn I’m sorry dude. Something similar happened to me, was out of a job for a month, applied to a bunch of stuff on indeed and found something. Start time is super early so that sucks :/ hoping to find something else eventually while I got some income.

Soda is really expensive. Ben & Jerry’s is pricey. Gatorade is expensive. Brand name cereal is expensive. Etc… they aren’t buying fresh fruit, rice, refried beans, you know, things that are still pretty reasonably priced but don’t taste as good.

I truly believe this coupd be a way UBI to work. First things first we’d need to pass laws making data privacy a right, and enforce it hard. It’s an opt in system, where you can decide what kind of data you want to give. But the more you opt in the more money you get. Companies are already paying for this stuff, we should cut out the middle men already.
