For me getting the full Murphy journey is not worth the metric ton of diarrhea that seasons 6 and 7 dump on season 5’s beautiful, emotional ending; but it is a matter of personal preference I feel.
BTDubs while there are fellow cultured The 100 fans prowling around, if you are looking to scratch that The 100 itch, I’ll quickly recommend Yellowjackets as that show is the closest thing to The 100 at the moment imo.
Ah so glad to see someone else mention The 100, it was one of my guilty pleasure shows. When it is bad it is bad , but when it is good it is as good as anything else out there. It also has some of my favourite end of season cliffhangers of all time.
If you do check it out make sure to get off at the end of season 5 because that’s the best ending you are gonna get.

You are not wrong, but I feel that the way that so many users have stayed active on Twitter despite all the controversies under Musk proves that a non-authoritarian audience can potentially sleepwalk itself into a super-app with a mixture of user complacency, shortsightedness, and unwillingness to deal with even a bit of inconvenience to support a competitor.

Anybody who’s ever played a classic Resident Evil-style game knows the feeling of getting to the final monster with all the hoarded ammo for your ultimate weapon (magnum/hunting rifle/flare gun/whatever)… Only for the monster to die in like at most a single-stack of shots because it turns out that the “ultimate lifeform” is weaker than a moderately sized car -_-

For me, the main concern is that Epic doesn’t have a system of purchasable keys, even after all these years. Most stores in PC have had a system with keys that has allowed users to purchase games from 3d party sites such as GreenManGaming and the like. That system has been one of the key reasons why prices have stayed in check in the platform, and why cool stuff like HumbleBundles exists.
Without this kind of system, every time a game is exclusive to the Epic platform, it, in effect, has a single price point with no possible competition or alternative, which is no different than a console ecosystem… And a lot of the pricing on those is not great, to say the least.
Until they have that, supporting the growth and consolidation of that store would be potentially shooting myself in the foot as a consumer.
EDIT - Turns out, I had my info somewhat outdated, this was introduced at some point recently, at least with some retailers.
However, on second check it doesn’t apply to games with Epic Store exclusivity, apparently (or at least the ones I’ve checked). It seems to only apply to games that are not exclusive. So concern still valid, unfortunately.
If someone has more info about it I’d love to hear it because it looks unclear at the moment.
