  • This comes up a lot. While Swift might not be able to control concert ticket prices as a whole, she certainly has the influence to make it better. She’s a literal billionaire with a very devout following.

If anyone could hold a concert at a non-ticketmaster venue, it’s her.

If anyone could pay her staff quintuple the going rate, it’s her.

If anyone could lobby cities that hold her concerts accountable for how they treat homeless people, it’s her.

I love Taylor Swift as much as the next person, but she has blood on her hands just like every billionaire. She may be one of the “good” ones but if anyone could afford to do better, it’s her.

  • Live there for you. Its your house. Make it your personal retreat from the world, and set it up how you like it. Don’t worry about resale until it’s actually time to sell.

One additional thing I’ll add: make “nice” repairs, e.g. things that you normally repair when you’re about to sell the house (e.g. wobbly toilet paper dispenser, crooked trim, etc.) as your budget and time allow. These things add up when you’re selling and you’ll regret not having your place look nice when you lived there.

These are nice weekend projects and often help you learn basic home repair.

  • There is a difference between someone who is new and experiences something like their IDE deletes a file that was unexpected and asking a question about why it did that.

Then there are arrogant assholes who believe their shit doesn’t stink and that they couldn’t have done anything wrong and it was the IDE’s fault for not knowing what they wanted to do versus what they commanded it to do.

    The OP is the latter.

Which, again, in a sane world, is really just one choice. This, quite frankly, is the only real bullet in the “both sides are the same” argument.

I’m not saying Harris isn’t qualified; she clearly is.

What I’m saying is that the Republicans have had years of making their base into good little soldiers that will vote R simply because they aren’t D.

These mouth breathers only see the letter after the name. I can’t tell you the number of times that voters came up to me when I was a poll worker and ask me who the “Republicans” were in a local election where the candidates can’t have party affiliations.

Why yes, these were often elderly voters. What made you guess that?
