  • Which is why it should only be used for art.

I don’t believe the billionaire dream of robot slaves is going to work nearly as soon as they’re promising each other. They want us to buy into the dream without telling us that we’d never be able to afford a personal robot, they aren’t for us. They don’t want us to have them. The poors are slaves, they don’t get slaves. It’s all lies, we’re not part of the future we’re building for them.

  • “Ain’t” is okay, but I only use it in quotes, that is, when quoting a character. Formal writing should not include slang, unless quoting.

But this is not formal writing, so “ain’t” is acceptable. It’s not improper word use like “loose” for “lose”, or “you’re” when “your” is correct based on context. It’s like writing “gonna” instead of “going to”. Or “y’all”, instead of “all of you”, because we don’t have a plural pronoun for “you”.

  • If you must get a PDF book into EPUB, and keep all the formatting, the only way to do it is to convert the PDF to images first. It makes a huge file, of course, but it works, I just tried it.

You can convert the PDF into images for free at smallpdf.com, then when it’s done converting, you can merge the images back into one big PDF file on that same website. Then, you can use Calibre to convert that PDF of images into EPUB.
