They might as well try banning fashion and individual choice. Just because you ban destroying clothing if it doesn’t sell doesn’t mean that people will automatically wear it. Hell, there’s too many people on Lemmy giving reddit too much activity. I blocked a couple of bots that were literally just yanking posts from reddit. They even left the links right back to reddit giving them the actual traffic. We can do better people. If I want shitty reddit content I would just go there.

They seem to be getting a pass on using copyrighted materials to feed these programs so I am doubting that we would get legislation protecting our own likenesses, or those of our loved ones. I bet you couldn’t even get lawmakers to understand what they would need to write into law. They (american lawmakers) all seem to be so up to speed on technology. /s
