  • No. That is what data brokers and big AI companies are pushing for but currently it’s considered fair use.

Anything public facing can be used for ml and it’s been like that for quite a while. It might change based on all the ongoing lawsuit but I doubt it will, it would be economic suicide and China doesn’t care if it’s “theft”.

It’s better for us, the consumer in any case, since having to pay for data would kill the open source scene and give openai and the other 3 companies a defecto monopoly.

I’m very critical of American imperialism but I fail to see how the US is using Ukraine to hurt Russia.

The fault always lies with the invader, Russia did this to itself. If I see someone getting stabbed and throw him a knife, implying I’m using him to hurt the other person attacking him is silly. Russia can leave anytime.

I do agree tankie is thrown around far too much, I’ve been called one myself just for talking shit of the military, even though I never mentioned an other country or a political idealogie.

The spread of the word as well as the constant villainization of China seems like prep for red scare 2.0, so we can have the population support bombing villages full of civilians (again).

  • Autism and narcissism can co-occur.

Research has indicated that individuals with autism could develop narcissistic-like behavior as a way to handle social challenges.

Directly from the article you just posted.

Have you been officially diagnosed? It’s really easy to put autist next to your name and pretend, using it as an excuse to be a complete asshat.

I have friends with autism and it doesn’t make any of them assholes. You are using it as an excuse as to blame anyone but yourself for your abrasive and draining personality.

You’re poor because of the economy and no one like you because of your autism and blah blah blah. Grow the fuck up and find a way to deal with your problems without making it everyone else’s problem around you, take some responsibility.

    Your behavior is pathetic.

Lmao, you can be autistic and other things including a narcissist. In any case, I doubt you’ve ever been diagnosed by anyone other than google.

Ya the economy is rough, and it’s probably harder to keep a job when you’re addicted to being a dick. It’s always someone else’s fault, isn’t it?

Put yourself in other peoples shoes for once in your life and realize that your behavior is heavy and just drags people down and ruins their day. You refuse to acknowledge your problem in any real way and actively enable yourself.

Stop wallowing in your own filth and walk away from the computer when you start having an episode, it’s literally that simple.

Most people are mature enough to realize they are being annoying and acting crazy when it’s pointed out, and remove themselves from the situation to cool down.

Does your therapist tell you to stay in whatever situation that’s enraging you and wallow in it? I’m guessing by now she just mostly sighs as she scribbles “narcissist” in big bold letters on her pad.

I’m not your mother, I don’t have to coddle you. No one cares and no one wants to deal with your anger.

Go for a walk. If anything, it might help you lose weight (I’m assuming you’re fat)

AGI is software with human like intelligence that can self-improve and the last two years is very measurable progress. We went from essentially nothing to multimodal models that can run on consumer hardware. OpenAIs new model, if they are to believed, is apparently much better at reasoning and can do long term research. I’ve also seen a few papers in the wild talking about self teaching methods and framework.

To be clear, I don’t know which will come first. It’s hard to know if the next leap is just a step or if there’s a giant chasm laying infront. I do know that it’s a lot easier to prototype with AI then fusion and there’s a lot more people working on it, both behind closed doors and publically on the internet. Fusion doesn’t have this advantage.

Your statement is basically a shot in the dark imo.

  • The amount is incredibly vaste. If we go by quantity no one here is getting a dime, and if we go by quality…it’s probably the same. Not to mention the logistics of getting everyone their penny or two.

And the data right now belongs to everyone. For example, Reddit technically ‘owns’ it’s content, but anyone can use it for ml purposes.

It’s why a lot of these campaigns about data ownership are being pushed. If the gov passes laws, it won’t be to the benefit of the individual but the data aggregators like Reddit, Shutterstock, etc.

They are playing on emotions and manipulating people into thinking killing AI FOSS and erecting data barriers is in their interest.
