More thinking of the ios app store in this case. But they’re also ripping off the osx dock, IMO. :P

I’ve not booted into windows for a few weeks now. It’s been pretty smooth sailing, one horrifically unoptimised game aside.
It’s not about security. Not anymore, anyway. Maybe when Authenticode was first added to windows. Now they just want to scare users into getting everything through their store, because they’re perennially jealous of the shit Apple can get away with.
What`s the censored one about?
No, you`re right.
This looks like a python programmer that is mad they have to write C# Java…
C#. Or Python if you must. Don’t use Javascript.
I would like to use IPv6 but google and MS are having a dick waving contest with competing implementations, as I understand it. So fuck it.
See also “ornitho” (relating to birds) and “pter” (wing) creating the term ornithopter for a heavier than air vehicle that flies by flapping its wings. Famously seen in Dune, but I think also back in the day people actually tried to make them, long before aircraft existed.
I’m not super into cars, but it’s my understanding Holden was a local manufacturer that got bought out by GM? Or if not that, then they were making specifically Australian vehicles despite being part of GM, much like Ford Australia used to. Both ended up shutting down operations down here, so now we have nothing local.
If the only tool you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
That’s the only thing I can think to answer your question. There are some problems that are best solved with other tools, like text parsing for example you might want to call out to some code written in a functional language.
The list of bullet points sound like they’re describing some nations I know of.
I never liked the idea of my “likes” being a browsable list. What’s the point of retweeting, if likes are browsable?
Glad it 's finally changing. Broken clock, I guess.
Xitter is doing something I want? What’s the catch?
This is true, but compared to the prevailing alternative I’ll take it. Unless there’s a viable FOSS alternative for whatever software we’re talking about at the time, of course. :P
“Buying American” would be exporting money for me, and there’s no domestic car manufacturing anymore. So I’m sending money overseas no matter what I buy, and it’s probably all made in China anyway… :P
This is a fair point. I have seen violent reactions to casual statements, but I have not seen hyperbolic calls for hard modes nearly as much as for easy modes, it`s true.
What happened exactly?
