Sounds ridiculous to me. If politicians didn’t decide on the rail system because of elon, it’s still a problem caused by the politicians
They’d never do it if it’d hurt USA so badly. They rely strongly on them on many fields, including military support
Just buy one ticket to a Taylor Swift concert and you’re already a billion dollar richer
Uranium is a much scarcer source compared to thorium. Uranium can also be used to create nuclear weapons, that’s why other countries have difficulties using the tech because foreign powers are afraid of these consequences
Already India and chine have had working ones for many years. It’s not speculative and I recommend you to research the tech. It’s unfortunately not very present in western nuclear energy debates. Could be a political reason but that’s just a dirty guess
The problem with these arguments and the focus of debates is that they are based on nuclear energy from uranium, not thorium. Thorium is ubiquitous in nature, power centers are much easier to set up and can be small and the waste, while initially (a bit) more radioactive than uranium waste, loses it’s radiation level much faster

Wealth predator. It has more of that negative connotation it deserves
From my experience, Microsoft has generally the worst web developers it seems. It’s not only the naming, but a lot of their websites work horrible. Teams never even worked in Firefox, say whut?
Scaleway has educative blog posts about water usage footprint of datacenters and how they’re approaching it more efficiently. Recommended reads
Don’t wanna be a whiner but wireless in ears never last long enough for me. I’m forced to stop using them after a while because they need to be charged. Even a 2 and a half hour phone call is enough to deplete them. This is a non existing problem with wired ones
I still have 200 euro wired in ear headphones that are my favorite pair so I need to 3,5mm port. But I never got the loud commotion over the disappearance of the port, because you can easily use a 3,5mm to USB-c cable. Having said that,I do still appreciate such a port in my phone because sometimes I forget to take the cable with me or I lose it.
Plus you need to hire less people to manage all services yourself. You can also avoid vendor lock in if you have z proper policy, but most managers don’t think long-term or even care. I started not caring about costs much anymore, it’s not a me problem, it’s a manager problem. I just do enough effort to choose the right setup
Actually I think AI in browser could potentially become a much more effective content blocker than ad blockers like ublock in the future.
Totally agree with that, but I’ve not found a decent one. So I’m glad that these ones are available because the NA one I’m joining is very supportive
It’s really time to get organized before the cycle starts: I wasn’t a Jew so I minded my own business, I wasn’t a…
That’s one of the steps yeah. And it’s recommended to follow all steps but nobody is forcing you. You can just go as you want and try to follow the other ones as much as possible. Also a higher power could mean different things if you’re creative enough.
I’m in NA meetings on discord. There’s also a big God involved but just try to look besides that. They’re open ans very welcome to anyone that wants to stop
Yeah def not enough. It’s funny how governments and companies are willing to pay overpriced proprietary software that even comes with no or horrible support, but when they use OSS they hardly contribute and sometimes even get great support via github. But sometimes that’s also the other way around. You pay for expensive license and get shitty support even if it’s OSS. Looking at you Teleport
There’s tops you can buy really cheap that you can put in a bottle and have a very cheap bidet. I think for many people it’s a struggle to change their mind that this is also OK and it doesn’t have to cost thousands of $$$
