The ultra-dark dark modes really bug me, black with various shades of black or dark colors is almost impossible to see UI elements on easily.
Dark modes should be like in the 50% gray area, where it’s dim but things can still have good contrast.

Modern sleep keeps a network connection active so it can still check your email or whatever stupid reason they came up with.
The lack of account mobility is really a huge problem with the fediverse, you lose all your stuff if you move to another instance.
60 requests per hour per IP could easily be hit from say, uBlock origin updating filter lists in a household with 5-10 devices.
Yup, I treat the ‘3’ as 3 copies of data, so the first copy is just my working system, and the other 2 are various backups.
Always have backups! Doesnt matter what OS you use, stuff will break eventually.
I prefer bootable full system images to my NAS for easy restores, and online file backups, both running daily.
Why does this capture that feeling so well lol
Huh? All my docker compose projects work fine ‘out of the box’, the oldest ones have been stable for years now.
Maybe it really runs Linux and actlikepeople.exe needs WINE which explains why it doesn’t always work properly.
I’m gay and I still play women characters in most games lol
Well sure but most exes I download are installers, where decompression only needs to happen once.
EXE files don’t really compress well, plus the files should already be internally compressed when the exe is built.
On a somewhat related note, why do so many open source projects give me a zip file with a single exe inside it instead of just the exe directly?
I don’t have any contracts with them and it’s usually about the same cost for USPS or UPS via ground for like a 12" square box for example. USPS might be like 5% less on average.
Even if it is, private companies cost the same
UPS and FedEx cost the same though.
I haven’t noticed any issues on Firefox, can also use an add-on to force specific quality.
That actually makes more sense to me compared to most premium features. Higher quality directly costs more money to stream.
Yeah they get a lot of users due to the free plans they offer, so I imagine there’s just a lot of reviews as a result, both good and bad.
Also due to the free plan and being commonly used by home lab groups or small businesses, I think there are a lot of users that don’t fully understand what they’re getting into with CF and may be upset when they find out later on.
If you follow their ToS and understand what cloudflares proxy is doing to your traffic then it all works just fine.
At least for windows the hibernation file is stored as a file on the C: drive, so will be encrypted by bitlocker along with your other data.
