It runs server-side, not on your browser. That said yes, I do think spoofing it server-side will eventually be how we get past this.
Within 6 months of implementation someone will find a way around it, or a FOSS alternative to spoof the WEI signing on servers.

This is the same scam they tried to pull with Internet Explorer. They got hit with an Anti-Trust for that, you’d think they’d learn their lesson.
I remember the first time I tried making a website the path I used for all my assets were my local folder locations. It never occurred to me that nobody else could see what I had on my C drive.
I would not, simply because it’s an online service. I avoid those whenever possible, and for such a simple piece of software I would expect it to run locally on my machine.
edit: by simple I don’t mean you did a poor job. I’m sure you put a lot of hard work into it, I just mean the concept of a word processor is simple.
