Something about Microsoft UI just feels so off for some reason. Material UI, Apple stuff all feels good to use but clicking on a button in Microsoft UI is just… bad.
I replaced like a third of the ingredients I need with something I had in the corner of the fridge because I couldn’t be bothered to go to the shop. 😭 Oh well, that’s vibe cooking.

Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•[META] What actually constitutes "mildly infuriating" content?English
8·22 days agoIt’s annoying. Like, sure, if they really, really want to stretch the definition of what counts as “mildly infuriating”, they can. I don’t think we will ever come to a concrete definition of it. But that just invalidates the whole point of having communities. I would expect more or less “this sucks, but I can live with that” kind of contents, but certainly not “someone wrongfully jailed” or something like that.

4·1 month agoI haven’t come across a single program that tells you what is blocking the ejection even in Linux. Sure, if you use the right tools you can find the culprit, but the program that does the ejection task seems to love being vague.
It works with containers so I can create a setup where requests sent from the container goes through the VPN. I use it for my Redlib setup to bypass rate limiting by rotating its IP regularly. Unless you have your host to route all traffic through a certain node, it should work independently from Tailscale.

3·2 months agoThey surprisingly were. Originally I went with Rust because writing them in bash script would be very inefficient in terms of the number of programs I need to invoke to fulfil the function. Then I ended up learning some systemd basics.

6·2 months agoI find myself developing random programs that fills my very small niche. Like a program that displays KeepassXC unlock popup on the workspace I am currently on because it doesn’t work as expected when done with window rules. Or a program that displays the status of multiple services in a single table. I feel like I took customisation stuff too far.

5·2 months agoDo you by any chance feel tingling down your legs? Last time I had that, it turned out to be a busted disk. I had a doctor just do an Xray every time I visit them, and didn’t realise it was that bad.

Other than keeping an eye on their changelog or waiting until it breaks, I don’t think you can do anything about that. I do have automatic update, but the config rarely changes from my experience.
