I’m not against ai, it’s amazing how quickly you can build something. But something small and limited one person can build. The whole human experience is missing, laziness, boredom, communication and issues with communication,… to actually build a good product that’s more than a simple app.

I think not enough people care about stuff like that. Like with reddit. Maybe some sparks of outrage here and there, but no fire. In the end even the people that don’t like the change come back, because they are used to it.

Yeah, that’s true I guess. I’m using ai from protona lot for my complicated medical conditions and it’s helpful, still would be better to have it local. Especially if it had good features.

A friend of mine is building something like that. You scan all the documents and you can set reminders, it does summaries and proposes actions and a buck of other really neat stuff It’s ai. I think it’s a good use case. But the ai means it has to call a server with the information, so I can’t get past that.
