I haven’t really seen my exact situation & frustration put so perfectly.
I know it’s exhausting, but just reading this helps remind me that I’m not alone.
So just know, you’re not alone.
That was Jobs’ (Jobs’s …? Jobses…?) whole thing. People don’t know what they want until we’ve told them.
And I’d say it’s worked out pretty well for the entire tech industry so far.

They really are responsible for the enshittification of the web. So many great ideas that might have actually become something special if they hadn’t been bought, and subsequently shut down by Google.
Or make promises/agreements that are completely out of scope.

That or the system is trying to wake us all up from hyper-sleep by throwing increasingly impossible scenarios at us in order for our brains to wake up naturally.
Except we keep looking at everything and going, “yeah, that makes sense, fuck it” and just not waking up.
The machines are going mad trying to figure us out.
