It’s sad being angry that other people supposedly don’t struggle as much as you do/did.

Why not simply rejoice that they don’t have it as hard?

These rules are made by botanists.

A berry is a fleshy fruit without a pit produced by a single flower containing a single ovary.

This definition is different from the colloquial culinary one which refers to anything small, growing on a small plant or bush and without a pit.

Yeah and they grow in the ground too.

A distinction that I find more entertaining than the fruit/veggie one is the berry category.

• blueberry: not a berry
• blackberry: nuh-uh
• Strawberry: you’re an accessory fruit
• banana: yup, totally a berry
• watermelon: go for it

Otoh the fruit/veggie dinstinction is from culinary tradition and has nothing to do with botanical sciences.

I have persistent skin issues (psoriasis) and most specialized products are unscented.

This may be the singular upside to this situation ^^`

I’m French and foreign languages are one of my hobbies. I’m proficient in English and Spanish. I can at a lower level speak some Russian, German, Czech, and Italian.

Imho the fault lies in our education system which puts a heavy accent on STEM studies and tends to treat anything outside of that as lesser subjects.

Also from anecdotal evidence the younger generations are quite better than the older ones.

The cajuns and acadians in the USA beside the obvious that have already been named.

This is my personal opinion and it might not reflect the wider community’s. I’m not even giving a straight answer, just some points to think about ^^

First and foremost Pride isn’t a singular event. Some are more celebratory and family friendly. But imho it’s original purpose is a protest and protests aren’t subject to the same rules as other places and times. e.g. you don’t tend to shout in the street everyday.

Secondly this rule as an absolute doesn’t make a lot of sense. Even without critiquing the wider society’s rules a choker isn’t the same as a full puppy outfit. (and tbf I don’t see the issue with pups, it’s just dress up ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

Lastly, I personally find that view kinda rooted in puritanism. Why should it be shameful in the first place? It kinda has “don’t ask don’t tell” vibes.

Lastly, how do you precisely define what’s a kink and what’s not?
