  • Even Tucker Carlson. I’m Canadian, so I knew nothing about Carlson when I first saw some clips about him (like 8 years ago now). And in those clips he said some innocuous and fairly reasonable things.

oh look, it’s me with Prager U and their piece on Modern Art.

“These idiots are shitting in jars and putting balls in folmaldahyde and calling it art. That’s bullshit” You’re right!
“The true reason for art was for JEEEESSUUUUUSS” Fucking hell no.

  • But don’t you DARE say on Lemmy that Linux isn’t ready for everyone to use…

If we’re talking about “everyone” as in “generic people , who spend either office job time on their computer, and about 1 hour of pleasure time doing non specific hobby stuff” due to adaptation of more wifi drivers etc (even though this is the point of the meme), since everyone’s doing all their shit on web interfaces anyway, yeah, it’s everyone ready.

My fucking father in law is on a chromebook , my wife has been on ubuntu mate for years. I’m running debian with minimal issues (stupid overheating).

  • help me. I am stuck working in SDET and my job makes me do a cert every 6 months that’s “no code” and I need to transition to writing code.

I’ve been SDET since 2013, in c# and java. I am so fucking sick of selenium and getting manual testing dumped on my lap. I led a test team for a fortune 500 company as a contractor for a project. I can also program in the useless salesforce stack (apex, LWC).

I am the sole breadwinner for my household. I have no fucking idea what to do.
