They made some cool toys so why not bring it up?
We’re all a ship of Theseus if you think about it. It’s likely we don’t have a single atom left over from when we were born.
I figure legitimate in this instance just means they won’t have any reason to expect repercussions for their acts of violence.
I don’t know most of these mascots or what they’re for and that makes me happy.
Desk jobs can be nice but depending on the role, they can haunt your waking moments when you leave for vacation and know there are things that need to get done. Almost everyone I know who works this way end up logging in on their free time because of it.
I’m considering it more like a unit of pressure, like the standard force of a bullet over the stretched area made out of the skin of an obese child.
I’d get their games for PC if they didn’t have a compulsory PSN account login.
PE was what inspired me to get into marching band instead.
RPG devs were spot on when they associated the color green with damage over time.
The prohibitions in question would include vehicles with certain bluetooth, satellite and wireless features as well as highly autonomous vehicles that could operate without a driver behind the wheel.
Chinese vehicles sold in the US would have the same internet connectivity as a base 2007 Honda Civic. Surveillance by the Chinese would be practically impossible with those limitations. You know who gets a pass on installing everything from internet connected cabin-facing cameras, accelerometers, microphones, and GPS tracking? US-based auto manufacturers!
That’s right, they can and will take all the data they have about you and sell them to data brokers. Enjoy paying a higher insurance premium because you braked too hard one time. Did your shiny new GM’s shitty drivetrain give out on you because their engineering is garbage and you want to claim the warranty for repairs? Too bad, you accelerated a little too hard that one time to get out of the way of a speeding truck and now they claim it was your bad driving that broke it.
I get you hate the CCP, most of us do (except the tankies here but they’re a special case) but until we rein in the lazy and corrupt domestic vehicle industry it’s gonna be a hard fight to get rid of Chinese vehicles encroaching on the market even with 100% tariffs.
Nice to know Chinese EVs will be the choice for privacy-minded individuals in the US soon. Being cheaper than western brands is a nice big fat cherry on top.
Of course they value your privacy… At a fair market rate.
Just watch out for viruses.
You don’t get to say “No” to YouTube, Microsoft, or the thousands of websites that ask to you to give them your email. There’s only a “Maybe later”.
Kid’s toys? Only other thing I can think of is love hotels but that’s not exactly a manufactured product.
I rarely had that problem from the bot. Reading from it at least gave me more information and saved me a click without having to be bombarded with cookie notices and requests to subscribe to a newsletter.
Mozilla’s slowly creeping in the surveillance with adding integrated crap like Pocket and AI driven Fake Spot. I’m really glad Librewolf’s made a privacy focused fork of their browser without all that nonsense.
Got a T450 for less than a hundred bucks and the build quality’s something that no longer exists in this day and age. Almost every piece of hardware in that thing’s easily accessible and replaceable. It’s gonna be a sad day when it finally dies out and nothing else in the market could compare.
Same. Was in my grandfather’s ranch as a kid and didn’t see it coming as it was buried under cow shit. Apparently boot soles don’t protect much against nails.
