That’s the most Influx-like decision ever.
That’s the most Influx-like decision ever.
There are other query languages. InfluxDB develops one called Flux. It’s a master class on why corporate led open source can really suck. Daily use features get deprecated all the time and each new release is breaking. The documentation is horribly insufficient and the language syntax is usually not clear and it wraps many behaviors into one vague function name. Yes, SQL is pretty impressive.
By your own argument, CS2 is worse than Overwatch. CS2 removed over half of the maps, features, and the gameplay is way worse. Overwatch gameplay was pretty similar, although switching to 5v5 has its problems. It ran the same on the same hardware. The biggest change was the economy which doesn’t affect gameplay. I feel like I completely lost access to CS, but I played OW2 for months until the gameplay problems with the meta became more apparent.
He who controls the yeast controls the universe, and I control the yeast.
That’s me. I stayed home, avoided events, and waited to go to restaurants until cases were down. When I did go places, I went when it wasn’t busy and sat outside. Avoiding COVID wasn’t rocket science, all you had to do was follow the basic principles of disease prevention.
This post is so old I saw it on Facebook
Actually, I gotta say that’s the last thing I ever want to have to drive in any context, with pretty much any surface, in pretty much any weather. Turns out I don’t stay inside when it flips like mister chief does.
It’s the middle of Oktoberfest season, and you went with IPAs for this meme?
They actually just call it a royale without gps
I appreciate being federated, it gives me a chance to down vote them.
One of these days, someone is going to invent a confluence alternative that only supports markdown and doesn’t have nay of confluences stupidity and it is going to EXPLODE and bankrupt Atlassian.
That’s actually embarrassing. They could literally afford to donate millions.
It’s not corporate FOSS that’s the problem here, it’s the BSD license. If BSD had a stronger license, Apple would be forced to give more back.
I would rather be watching the 1999 cinematic masterpiece The Mummy starring Bendar Fraser and Rachel Weiss
I remember when he got the job. It didn’t make big news, but literally everyone’s take was “This is the worst decision possible, why would you do this?” And things were quiet for a bit, but eventually he had to remind us who he is.
Even when I was able to get a license through University, I eventually switched to VSCode just to avoid the hassle of verifying my license.
Rip pre-hexbear Lemmy, gone too soon.
