Used to work in a warehouse and you could move pump jacks forward while standing on them by leaning left and right while turning the handle left and right in tandem.
Sorta like on a swing the momentum builds up until you’re cruising nicely.

I’m glad I filed early before this shit show really got rolling.
I’m just imagining late files not going through or getting lost and peeps not getting their refunds.
Took a quick look and it appears a group of people wanted to shoot a live action series with similar trappings as the OP picture. They did a kickstarter for 5k and were unable to deliver on that budget.
This is from 30 seconds of research, so grain of salt and all that.

I had just figured out how to fix a bug that broke our in house reminder system. My smug ass put hoho as the commit message for figuring something out that the previous guy couldn’t. Of course it came back to bite me in the ass THIS WEEK when the system broke again in a similar fashion, but I couldn’t remember what I had done.
Yes, just with no brakes.
To stop you had to quickly turn the handle to the left or right to skid out and slow down.
