It should, they are not giving any proper reason to, just trying to cheaply get more money from you wasting more of your time. They are wrong, they should feel bad. Making a video with the express purpose of trying to milk money out of it is not a successful strategy long-term. Making good content that people want to watch to the end without being told to is much harder, but actually works.

“Wait for the end” or “the last one will shock you” is because the video gets an algorithm bump if people watch it all the way to the end. Only reason. To make more money.

Just so anyone that had to suffer through this knows, the company that makes them, that you have to order them through, always makes sure to remind buyers that they will likely need at least 10% left handed ones too. Because, of course, they made left-handed ones. If your school didn’t have left-handed ones or didn’t have enough, that was a choice they made.

That sentiment they manufactured is exactly what I was, apparently inexpertly, lampooning.

Yeah, part of it was that smoking cigarettes was absolutely off the table. Almost no upside, all downside. And we were kids long before vapes was a thing, but that would certainly have fallen under the same umbrella. They were both addicted to nicotine for decades and could definitely attest to how hard it was to quit. They both did eventually manage, but it was pretty obvious how big of a deal it was for them, with alot of failed attempts.

Weed is for sure not a great idea for teens, but that wasn’t known at the time. And part of it not being taboo meant that none of us ended up being habitual anyway. But yeah, certainly had they known that at the time it would have been added to the con list for it.

Being so out of touch with your kid is one of the main ways to create attention seeking behaviour. Not the only way, of course, but it’s still generally a bad idea to have no relationship with your kids.

My parents knew exactly what we were up to, and in most cases, our first time experimenting with anything like that was supervised by our parents. They wanted to make sure we knew what we were getting into and how to be safe despite taking risks like that. They didn’t really have to worry about me, I’m Autistic and have no interest in drinking or smoking anything, but my older brother and the older of my younger sisters very much partook in any of the safer recreational substances. One advantage of talking with your kids about this stuff is that when you warn them which ones are actually the problem, they have no reason not to trust your advice. There are some “not even once” drugs. There are some “you gotta try it once” drugs, and there are some “it’s not a good way to spend your money, but otherwise fun” drugs.

Me personally, drug of choice is videogames. Way cheaper high. Though it can be habit forming, make sure it never feels like a priority over doing real-life stuff.

I would probably hate wet sandwiches too. Glad my Arby’s near me doesn’t have wet sandwiches. It sucks that even with all the work franchises do to try and make sure each location is as similar as possible, some people just get unlucky that the one they live close to sucks.

At his level of power, he can apparently make some changes and then delete the log of them. Only other server admins can see it then. But I’m getting this second hand from other server admins, haven’t seen it myself.

Him being communist isn’t the problem, throwing his weight around unnecessarily is what is upsetting people. And he just keeps doing it. Like he just gets in a mood and decides to ban a bunch of people for fake violations they didn’t actually do. It’s all logged and people with high enough status can see the logs. He goes on tirades.

The entire point is eating all three at once. If you don’t do it that way, your parents raised you wrong. Hehe. Scoop across, not within. Though to be fair, I’ve never bought the separated blocks one. People are bad at reading. Leads to a surprising number of english readers seeing Napoleon and Neapolitan as the same word. I went into more detail in a different reply in this thread if you want to know more.

A common reading comprehension error is people that have either been taught, or taught themselves to sight-read every word, and not just the super short ones. So rather than seeing what word is actually there for longer words, they see some of the more obvious or prominent letters and guess what the rest might be. And most of the people I know who learned that way never fixed it, no matter how big of a problem it became later. And it’s like, a third of the people I know. Way more common than would be expected.

So yeah, those people will see Napoleon and Neapolitan and see pretty much the exact same word.

It is the burger, I’ve had this one a few times today and it was always the burger. Maybe you have something else going on, sometimes adblockers break them. Whether intentionally or not, who knows.
