“Java bad” is a pretty long standing meme. I would guess that most peoples’ only experiences with java are in school and in monstrous, ancient corporate codebases.

I have to believe an experienced holodeck user would be able to detect some of the telltale signs pretty easily. Like replicated food, if you see it enough you probably notice “holodeck vase #5” showing up scattered around the background of scenes as clutter. Or even minor visual distortions where it switches from 3d to the false horizon.

You’d be looking for 501c3 organizations which does include churches and other dubious religious affiliated organizations but not all federal non-profits.

If you’ve ever followed the C++ committee discussions you’ll see they put a lot of time and effort into considering legacy code when introducing language changes. For better or worse existing languages are on a trajectory set from their inception that can’t always be easily redirected. New languages are free of this baggage and can wildly experiment.

Interesting, sounds more like a bug than a feature. Looking at my instance, I can’t find any examples of posts not displaying in the subscribed feed that do appear in the community feed. Is it affecting both local and federated communities?

What sort are you using? If you’re using a time based sort like Top 6 Hours it will exclude older content.

If you sort by New are you still missing posts?

As long as you have a channel with that person preconfigured and funded right? Otherwise you need to do an on chain transaction with on chain fees to set up that sub one cent transaction.

I think you missed the mark a little bit on what voting is on a forum like this or reddit. Voting is crowd sourced content curation/moderation. Like content creation it brings value to a site, limiting it or making users pay for it seems counter to achieving a well curated community.
