I’m so happy I jumped ship and upgraded my 2 mains to 32GB one, two years ago.

I could probably live on 8, 16 would be totally ok but now I’m “future proof”. For some time I bet, at least on my linux. Windows 13 will probably need 64GB just to boot.

In the same vein, used thinkcentres are dead cheap and good, easy to tinker with physically, and for what I know no problems when it comes to linux (nvidia drivers are probably as on any other platform). Got a ussf m920q IIRC, added som ram, changed the CPU and swappyd out the SSD for a big one and it became my main driver (also have some 710 and a tower for more inside space, GPU, …) low power draw and “it just works”.

Yep I made it ‘hidden’ but it didn’t work. So maybe a Xiaomi thing for sure, and I already have the f-droid app so I’m good :-)

Just make a new 2D isometric Iceland Dale and it will sustain a small dev team no problemo IMO. Then don’t push the tech but write new stories and expand the world. But no, it doesn’t have microtransactions and you can’t get funding without selling your soul I guess.

I’d love working on a project like that, I miss the old game dev days 😊😌.
