  • To all the users who made the blocklist, your Lemmy experience has been greatly degraded by not interacting with the users of tesseract. The fediverse may never again know their like. They few, they few, they happy few You will think yourself accursed for not being there. You will hold your manhood’s cheap whiles any speaks of tesseract and the ban list of this day.

  • Do they do that informally too? In formal English language writing, the majority of interrogative sentences can be correctly interpreted by their starting with “question words” or helping verbs. This breaks down in informal writing e.g. “you up?” vs ”Are you up?" In the little Spanish I know, I’d say “¿Estas despierto?” (I know I’m missing accents but I speak Spanish way more than I can read it.) Would I still text it to someone that way even though extra characters are what is typically taken off in informal writing? In the English example, the helping verb is removed. In the Spanish version, would the upside down question mark be removed?

  • Nothing in particular, I think I was just bored/lonely. It was decades ago at this point. I lived in an area and had the kinds of jobs where that wasn’t too unusual a thing. I stopped all that extra foolishness after just a couple of years and went on to more normal jobs, eventually college and a family. No outward signs of my misspent youth/young adulthood.
