Tracking numbers don’t get created until a shipping label is printed. Maybe give it a little bit.

I find the limit to be useful. It prevents random relationship drama and filler.
But I think both film and television series work great for different stories. Having television without a definitive end makes stories weirdly convoluted and meaningless as they try to change another season, just the same as the empty film sequel.
My guess is that it’s asking for you to confirm your date of birth, to a minimal degree of accuracy without actually having to reveal your date of birth.
I kind of like the idea. Most people know what their star sign is, whether they believe in it or not. So they will be able to answer quickly and correctly. Those that need to look it up it might need to be more critical of the login for.
I specifically will boycott places if their ads annoy me enough.
Finding the correct bolt size, thread pitch, material, and trusting that when I order grade 8 bolts, I’m actually getting grade 8 makes Amazon quite a pain in the ass.
If it’s something I don’t care too much about, yea Amazon is fine. But when I want to trust my life to it or it’s going to take some serious stress I’m going to want McMaster.
I’ve been tempted to create a bot that does nothing but search comments in code for misspelled words and create pull requests for them.
If it stays in comments, little chance in breaking a working codebase and I’d have an insane amount of commits and contributions to a wide variety of codebases for my resume.
I’ll never be a top tier coder. But I might make management.
It makes me want to make more of my own stuff. Sewing isn’t terribly hard for basic patterns and machines are relatively cheap
I just moved into a house a couple years ago. While I’m mostly getting used furniture, I’m slowly looking into making my own and learning to repair what’s out there.
I’m really bad at staining or painting. I never feel like what I do comes out even.
Yea. It’s really bad looking for something online. They may be under the “solid wood” category for material, but they still are 90% particle board.
I prefer spending extra knowing that I’ll have something for decades and not have to replace it in a year or two. Fortunately for me, about 80% of my homes furniture is from Habitat for Humanity. They are fantastic for having a good selection of quality stuff for cheap. Some might need a little repair, but they tend to only accept decent stuff in the first place.
Lol as if cutting my lawn is fun. Or that I’d even want to join your party.
It’s hypocritical to think that your loud noise when Im trying to sleep is okay but my loud noise when you are trying to sleep isn’t.
But this is life living with other people that don’t sleep the same hours as you. Sometimes shit is going to inconvenience you, and I’ll do what I can to minimize it. But I’ve got shit I need to get done too and I’m just not going to not do it because it might suck for someone for an hour of their week.
Cool. No loud parties after 9pm then? Or is inconveniencing my sleep okay because you do it at night?
I’ve got one day a week I can do yard work, and only until 9am until it hits over 90° out. Sorry, buddy. But you might have to deal with some noise. Wish we could all live in perfect harmony. But until then you have to deal with some shit you don’t like and I have to deal with some shit I don’t like and we’ll do our best to not inconvenience each other too bad.
Sure. A lot has rotted away, but much modern furniture is designed with so much MDF and other manufactured wood products that aren’t resilient in the least. Moisture will destroy them, they take gashes super easy, and are soft wood.
I’d think the furniture our grandparents had would be more likely to have been solid wood.
That’s not to say there aren’t solid hardwood pieces being made today. But they are extremely expensive and are competing in a space with poor regulation of descriptions and all the flat pack Chinese imported stuff thats literally 10% of the price of good furniture that will last.
Solid hardwood furniture is a luxury.
Mindful and considerate, yes. But that doesn’t mean I put my entire day on hold for people that don’t get up until 10 or 11.
8am is pretty reasonable start to the day for me.
But I also believe that people bitching and saying no loud noises before 10am are being just as selfish as the people who get up and do yardwork at 6am. If someone has a problem or some extraordinary reasons for wanting it to stay quiet later, they can talk to each other and try to find a compromise.
And out of 7 days, if you are only being inconvenienced for a couple hours maybe that’s something you should be more tolerant of.
Fucking tech solutions to a manager problem. The manager should care about the metrics of wait time and client satisfaction.
If waits are low and satisfaction is high. Then who gives fuck all about what techs do in between calls.
Metrics like calls per tech or average length of calls could be used to better understand tech efficiency. Or even rings before pickup. A good pbx can help ensure calls are relatively equally spread between techs. This helps keep one tech from over working for another slacking off. You can have utilization goals so that you aren’t under or over staffed (I’m of the opinion that a techs utilization should be roughly 75-80% and they should have downtime in their shifts to prevent burnout.)
It’s stupid, inhumane, and impossible to expect an employee to track, bill, and work 100% of their shift.
You can still spend the required money even if the product isn’t delivered.
Buy a/some 737 and start an airline. It’s easy to spend $100m.
Start a company.
Create a product.
Price it at $100m.
Buy said product from my own company.
Oh man. Absolutely campy and yet I love it.
Luca sucked, turning red had positive reviews but wasn’t memorable, Coco had some great songs and some staying power, encanto rode high on Lin Manuel Miranda’s lyrics, and Moana was strong.
Strange worlds fell flat, Elemental failed, Wish flopped, Lightyear was a let down, Raya and the Last Dragon was only “fine”, and Rons Gone Wrong was forgettable, but mostly good.
Not to mention their live action failures.
That’s if the label generation is automated. Small shops will still have that be a manual process when they pack and weigh it for the label.
