According to who? Apple? Encrypted with what? The device keys they claim not to hold? E2EE means nothing if they have the keys, “advanced data protection” corporate buzz word.

I came to the conclusion years ago that there is no difference between NSA servers and Apple/Microsoft/Google servers, they are the same thing. Duplicating those amounts of data would be expensive, just give em a office in building and the keys to everything, after all they are forced to comply and lie about it under the patriot act.

The average user dosent active encrypts anything. If you are the person who active makes backups and encrypts them, then you are probably hosting them yourself too. No idea why this is getting down voted, this is the only real option for such TVs.

At this point just use the TV as screen for a Raspberry and be done with it. Pi hole is good but it cant catch everything, and i would expect smart tv’s by now try to smuggle out data on things that can get around the pihole. Every Smart TV has to be assumed a compromised device, with advanced data exfiltration options.
