None of the images in the posted link show any kind of right wing thinking, simply him responding to right wing ideas, often more thoughtfully than alot of people would. Whoever that max person is might have been a close friend, in which case any leftist knows you sometimes have to temper your arguments to try to gradually get through to people. Even the architecture thing, hes talking about how material conditions have shaped and caused the “oppressiveness” that carlson calls out, whereas tucker is claiming its intentionally designed to make people miserable or some shit.

  • I listened to the first three albums (inlcuding reanimation) obsessivley when i was a kid. I think those and the live in texas album are the only cds i still own, for nostalgias sake. Ive recently been going over the albums ive missed though and though they arent start to finish bangers like the old ones, theres some really good songs still.

So if you had no soap available and shit on your arm, what would you use? Only paper? Or water? Your argument is fucking stupid. Of course people have different standards of cleanliness but the guy who doesnt clean his ass at all also has a different standard of cleanliness, and his standard is fucking disgusting.

  • Right so in that scenario that measurment makes sense but for the average person in their day to day life it’s much less useful. And my car doesn’t have a fancy computer that tells me the efficiency. Or measure in accurate increments how much fuel is in the tank. So if I wanted to know how efficient my engine is, the best way to do it would be start on empty, add a liter of fuel, and see how far I could drive it, which is probably why and how that measurement became commonplace. Because cars have been around alot longer than computers.

  • I’m not even American but this is way less intuitive for everyday use. I don’t need some abstract measure of how efficient my car is being. My fuel tank is measured in liters, when I fill up i pay by the liter, I want to know how far I can go on x liters. Not have to do a bunch of mental math to reverse the equation for my gas tank with 40 liters in it. I have 40l, I can go x*40 km. Mental multiplication is way easier than mental division.
