Wouldn’t it be more realistic if Barbie was also Ken? Since most catfishs are dudes going for dudes?
Or is the meme referring to something else?

If the fine is not a fixed amount but actually gets more expensive the more money you have it actually is quite nice though
Always enjoy those stories about millionaires paying some big sums for speeding tickets in Switzerland
If you pirate stuff they can sue you to the ground but if a fine is not related to total income or wealth it’s just something to be ignored.
Can’t understand why not more people lobby for fines to be proportional in general…
Very interesting read

I mean I still have my Gmail account in my mail clients - just every time I get an email on it that’s not spam I go to the account settings and change the mail account there
I haven’t gotten a mail on it in almost a year so I think I’ll unplug it and only login if needed
Also every bit of atomic energy we use now humans have to pay for for centuries to keep the waste safe
Normally these guys are all about passive income and buying over subscriptions and things like this but if your actions lead to generations having to pay for it suddenly it’s not as bad…
What would you expect “-1 month” to do for a date like 31st of March? Would the result be the same as for “-1 month” on 29th of March?
If you go back 2 months so the 31st is existing again - should that mean that the result of using -1 month twice should be different to using -2 months?
I think it’s just a stupid way to implement something like this as “month” isn’t a defined size so defining it with a fixed value and documenting it properly is a decent solution but noone should use that kind of function in the first place
Reddit also doesn’t have one except for the Network-Effect keeping users there.
Sadly some of the more specific subs didn’t migrate to Lemmy :/
Investing money in someone to start a business because you believed that business would be worth it in the end happened way earlier though.
That’s just more abstract as the final value you can receiv isn’t capped anymore - but just having a loan-based economic model is already pretty capitalistic tbh.
But I see how what was basically the creation of stocks can also be seen as a starting point
Yeah - the basis of capitalism is giving someone a loan since you believe they will pay you back more.
And that started way earlier than 400 years
I wonder where that number came from
Isn’t it also genetically that all orange cats are male?
I said it’s ads or selling data - it can be any combination of those 3 factors
It’s either this or ads or selling your data
Tie the hands of two people together and put the ring on the rope hanging in the middle.
Not to mention how long it takes to find good spots since noone wants to have one in their backyard and even if you have a spot it takes almost a decade to build m
Also you need to guarantee cooling which is going to be a bigger and bigger problem in the coming years…
So much better than spending a fraction of the money to build renewables much faster with less risk…
Ah
I’d guess it should send a “see how I can provide for food even without using money” kind of way?
But yeah it’s stupid
