I once won a RPS tournament with 100 people by throwing nothing but paper, and making sure to tell each opponent that’s what i was going to do. I’m convinced people think paper is somehow weaker than rock or scissors and that’s why it’s effective. That and the mind game of telling them what I’ll be throwing. But even when the others that lost to me affirmed that I wasn’t lying people thought I was lying.

I was just talking to my partner about how I have cum ducts last night, so this is on par for me atm.

The only person whose weight and body is your business is your own. My body isn’t your business. Your neighbor’s body isn’t your business. Your coworkers body isn’t your business. It’s not your business and your opinion doesn’t matter about any body but your own.

So how about this… let’s just not talk about each other’s bodies and let people be who and what they are. Fat people have enough shit to deal with already and they don’t need shit from you too, whether it’s ’support in losing weight’ or criticism.

It’s an estimation, which I prefer over the vagueness of a done/not done light. I recognize that it’s not specific or reliable for any precision, but having a general idea of when it will be done is useful.

You’re missing the forest for the trees here. And, it’s worth specifying that I’m talking the US here, I should have been clear about that before.

I’m not talking about cops, I’m talking about the system itself. Every institution in America has deep roots in racist ideology. Every single one. The constitution was written in a way that allowed for slavery. Police forces established and enforced red lining, something that is having knock on effects even today. If the policing system weren’t inherently racist, we wouldn’t have the disproportionate use of deadly force against BIPOC folks. Elitism itself in America was first for the wealthy that owned slaves, and much of our policing culture still has echoes of the force used to keep slaves in line.

There are plenty of cops that are good people, I’ve known some. But they’re still bastards because they uphold and perpetuate the system that currently exists. I always think of the line in Wreck it Ralph when thinking about this, ‘just because you’re a bad guy doesn’t mean you’re a bad guy. That’s the ‘good’ cops. They might be good people but they’re still the bad guys.

The counter is that the system can’t be changed due to its inherent flaws and foundations in racism and elitism. The system needs to be replaced wholesale, which as big of a proposal as that is is more realistic than changing the existing system.

You’re an insolent child that thinks not voting somehow makes a statement when all you really do is join a huge bloc of voters who sit on their hands while everyone else decides for you all so you can act superior when the shittier option winds up on office and say ‘I didn’t vote for them’.
