Or they could just compression for their PNGs. PNG is a lossless format so they’ll only lose a fraction of a second during creation.

I’m not deleting them. They’re uploaded to the cloud at the time of creation. I also move them off my phone to my computer every 6 months or so - I do this just in case the upload to the cloud has ever silently failed. I deduplicate the images, so I don’t have multiple versions of the same image with different file names.
For me it’s not entirely about space. I rarely let the device get more than 2/3rds full. It’s also about speed. If I want to pull a photo/video off my phone, it seems sluggish when there are thousandths of files in that one directory.
I’m using a 128GB phone and it’s never full. But I export photos And videos off it once every 6 months. If I didn’t I’d need 1TB phone.
I think perfection is probably somewhere between dark and light themes. Light can frequently be too bright where it feels like you’re looking into the sun. And dark can be like working in literally the dark, and it’s sometimes too difficult to see the boundaries between objects. I think it would be cool if we had a sliding scale, where you can pick from several brightness levels.
I wonder if it’s the real Elon Musk?
Is there a Lemmy version of UI battles?
I’ve kept away from some projects because it’s just a single dev doing 99.9% of the contributions.
How about seeing YouTube adverts to then watch a video that’s entirely an advertisement for the company that’s sponsoring the YouTuber.
NDAs/confidentiality agreements have to be specified in the employment contract or other signed paperwork?
In the past I’ve joked with my boss that I’m not obligated by NDAs and can say what I want to others. It was a joke but realistically I don’t believe I am because not a word of NDA/confidentiality is in my contract, nor have I signed any other paperwork with it in. But the boss seems to think I am restricted by NDA.
How many fields do you need?
One for cows, one for sheep, another for corn, …
Edit: corrected a fat fingered word
Interesting that it looks like everyone has come from computers. I got into it because of electronics and robotics. To me controlling stuff in the physical world seemed really cool and it still does. I went straight in with assembly language for microcontrollers.
Looks like it’s only available on Chrome based browsers, oh well.
I want my life to be 69% better. Did you follow a good guide? Do you recall which guide it was?
Use a dedicated account for YouTube. How will they remove your emails if they’re on a separate account?
I use a YouTube channel account, which might be good enough. I’ve had one in the past banned and the rest of my Google account was left alone.
(I was only just getting into creating programs that communicate with online services and I hammered their API. My program didn’t have any checks and balances to ensure it wouldn’t go over it or to throttle back when the API endpoint attempts tell it to calm down. It only happened once but that was good enough to get it banned)
On a tangent, I imagine PHP is still one of the most used backends. Wordpress uses PHP and I wouldn’t be surprised if 50% or more of the websites I visited are Wordpress sites. So I guess many others experience the same?
What if your grammar is that bad that people struggle to understand you?
I know someone who is incomprehensible most of the time. I have to ask probing questions just to vaguely understand what they’re trying to communicate. I’ve politely told them more than once about the issue but they never try; they’re not mentally challenged or anything, just an ass.
I agree because it makes the code easier to follow in 6 months time.
I write the parentheses before I start writing inside the block. When something goes wrong, the scope of what I’ve done wrong is narrowed to within that specific block.
I find it weird that they upload content to their own servers even when you provide them with an external link.
