0.000% of Communism has been built. Evil child-murdering billionaires still rule the world with a shit-eating grin. All they has managed to do is make themself sad.

  • it’s amazing to me how valve employees & gaben haven’t become out of touch with their customers (i.e. ordinary people), despite how rich they must have gotten. it’s documented phenomenon in psychology that the richer and more powerful you got, the less capacity you will have for sympathy. basically, as a company gets big and rich, they stop being able to understand what will piss their users off (think “dO yOu GuYs NoT hAvE pHoNeS?”).

this hasn’t seemed to have happened with valve yet, somehow. they still seem to be down to earth people. (btw, if you haven’t watched any of the steam sales promotion videos, they are pretty fun, take a look).

  • first of all, as we all know, strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government…

so, in UK you don’t vote for the PM. you vote for your local representative (Member of Parliament, MP). whichever party has the most MP becomes the ruling party and forms government, and the leader of that party becomes PM. if members of that party lost confidence in their leader, they can choose a new one. so if someone wants to be the new PM, they can do that by getting enough MPs behind them.

formally the new PM must be chosen through a leadership challenge process, but if the current PM sees the writing on the wall, they might choose to just resign with some dignity intact, instead of being dragged out kicking and screaming.

  • well i guess this gets into the quite philosophical question of what “the same” actually means ¯\(ツ)

each worshiper of “the God” is obviously going to have their own imagine of what “the God” is like. whether it’s within Christianity, or across different religions. it all depends where you draw the line.

in my top level comment, what i meant by “the same” is based on lineage.
