It’s an easier out than admitting they’re uninformed or just plain wrong.

6·4 days agoI would’ve had the same response lmao. They are terrifying and their necks are exceptionally long. I was trying to grab this one by the sides and it turned around to try and bite me at record speed.

16·4 days agoMan, don’t mess with these things when they’re full size. They are MENACING. I tried to get one off the road once and it chased me away while snapping any time I tried to come near.
My wife has been sick all weekend, and it’s like 100 degrees outside so our AC is struggling.
The upside is that I’ve dumped a ton of hours into Subnautica.
Oh? I’ll have to look into that. That’s enough for me to consider something else altogether.
I have a hosted Matrix serving sitting around for this reason. Trying to get folks to use it is another story 😢
The futuristic ones ignore the fact that all of the homeless and destitute are not present because they’ve either been enslaved, or they’re relegated to the old decrepit previous version of the city, as the Sylvester Stallone Judge Dredd showed us.
Edit: Altered Carbon and even The Fifth Element demonstrated this too. You saw the poor living below the smog line.
That’s awesome! Hold onto that one. My childhood friends have all scattered to the wind since we all moved away.
Yeah, a lot of shops have gone off the rails with prices. The same thing happened with the vintage clothing market. All these folks started selling old shirts on eBay for like $50 minimum, and now all of the thrift stores are picked clean, or are selling those items at crazy prices themselves.
I tend to get games that aren’t in the sought after list and get lucky sometimes. You can still find games at thrift stores if you’re lucky. You just have to hunt and be okay with disappointment lol.
You get lucky sometimes, but you’re right. Some shops are insane. It really depends on what you’re looking for.
Hell, I want to try it now! Especially if you can find games that are generally rare at shops.
Go to your local used game shops! There’s a treasure trove of good shit there.
Even snowflakes are all straight lines! I remember seeing close-up images of them in the science magazines we had in school.

4·18 days agoNot entirely sure. I think it’s to gain adoption and it helps subsidize node operators.

10·18 days agoI’ve been a Mullvad user for probably about a year but I’m considering Nym.
Editing for further context: their board includes Chelsea Manning which bodes well, I like that they use decentralized nodes, and that all of their code is open for review. The $NYM stuff is a little weird, but to me it comes off like an attempt to decentralize currency, which can anonymize in its own way (with an asterisk). Just not sure what that landscape looks like, since a person’s identity can often be figured out by looking at the public ledger. I’m still learning about Nym though.
I don’t even care. I’d honestly do that now instead of programming. It gets me outdoors!
