When I worked in NYC, we generally would meet for happy hour a few times a week after work. So not weird at all.

My grandmother has been using Linux for five years now and she doesn’t know what Linux or Windows are. Its just the computer.
What are models of vehicles? What are different types of skiis? Shouldn’t just one book have all of human knowledge? I’m not assuming anything about Normie’s or anything, just telling you to try a different DE. Linux comes with options. You might want a sports car or you might want a truck. Before you buy a vehicle you look at what you want to do and then buy the right vehicle.
On mine I just right click in the window and choose open as administrator. It asks for a password and that’s it. No terminal ever comes up.
Try a different desktop environment instead of blaming all of Linux, my dude
I use Windows for work and I can easily say that KDE, Gnome, Xfce, Mate, all are better UI than Windows. The Windows start menu has become such utter BS it’s crazy. Even MacOS is better at this point. What are you smoking lol
Fedora with KDE is stupid easy
Steam has made most games compatible, nvidia has a proper driver, and amd drivers are built in and you don’t need to do anything at all. Honestly at this point, Linux is easier to install apps and keep apps updated than Windows. You are 100% right about what already comes on the laptop, and that’s why they do it. Its called monopolizing.

2·5 months agoI know this is anecdotal but I am regularly trying to hire entry level, no more than highschool required, at $18 per hour starting. We get interviews set up and they just don’t show up. No text, no email, no call saying, “thanks for the opportunity but I chose something else.” Just don’t show up. I don’t get it.
If they’re dead and in the elevator, are they still in wheelchairs?
