One of us, one of us! Hahaha. I think at the core of it we care about other people and don’t want to see them be stuck in a privacy nightmare with no way to escape… and they paid for that experience. But yes, I also support people doing what they like, I sincerely mean that.

Statistically insignificant is one way to put it, but I would argue it is somewhat significant. Just perhaps not to the extent we’d like to see. What I’ll be watching for is the major uptick in viruses, malware and ransomware infecting that one half of users that will stay on win10 without a care in the world.

That’s really cool to hear! I had a bad Fedora experience on my surface pro 4, it was silverblue - an immutable distro. Not a great start, so I think I’ll be giving it another shot in it’s natural glory some time this year.

Amen brother. I’m really hoping a lot of these gotchas get ironed out in some way as more people start choosing Linux over windows. I would be really happy to see some smoother experiences in the coming year or years. Don’t get me wrong, things are a bajillion times better than ten years ago, but there’s still a ways to go yet.

Using android banking app, phone broke, new phone with same app flagged and froze my whole account. I had no access to my money and had to physically go to the bank to get it all unlocked, they couldn’t do it over the phone. Only had $20 in my wallet and thankfully my cab driver took me there even though the fare was more. Not a fun day.

I ended up putting Lego under the corners for additional flow, repasted the APU and that’s about the best I can do. She’s worth it, firmware 9.0

I wouldn’t recommend that for call of duty war zone on PS4. A perfectly clean, barely used and quite new PS4 pro - fans screaming at the top of their lungs and I’m just sitting at the main menu. I eventually shut it off because it sounded so crazy. Never experienced that with any game before or since.

You know how that goes though, now the ethernet isn’t fast enough to allow that nas experience to be seamless. 2.5gbit… 10gbit? Now you need a new switch maybe a new router too. It just goes downhill from there haha
