I get a fundraising text every day. I text back stop. I marked as junk. It makes no difference. I got another one the next day.
Do they not realize pissing off their base with this spam means we’re not going to donate?

I’m having flashbacks to Word 6 for Mac, when everyone downgraded back to Word 5.1.
You can never be totally sure if someone is using Photoshop…
But there may be signs.
I’ve just stopped watching. Plenty of other stuff to do. If they don’t want to show me their ads that’s their problem.
You can click on that little ellipsis menu and either choose “not interested” or “block this channel”. It should improve your recommendations.
Yep. The suggestion algorithm is way too aggressive. Keep in mind you can remove individual videos from your watch history.
I’d say “sounds like a lawsuit”. After all, you can’t advertise something as no ads, and then show ads.
But then I remember who is in charge for the next four years and realize they’ll just get away with it.
I’m surprised that’s legal. You’d think it would distract other drivers
Or you could use a different search engine.
Why does a browser need an update to fix YouTube? Shouldn’t that be the other way around?
The point being you build something new and run the crusty compatible stuff in a sort of “virtual machine”.
Reminds me of Windows UI — usable, but inconsistent. Obviously a lot of glommed on tech debt that was never updated.
There are English speakers on Lemmy too. And some of them post Chinese propaganda. I wouldn’t doubt if a lot of this “surge” is manufactured/faked.
Is any reporter going to actually look into this? I have serious doubts that a slew of English speaking TikTok users who can barely use their phones to begin with are going to mass migrate to a Chinese language app just to watch lame ass videos. This really feels like some sort of propaganda campaign.
What a waste of RFID chips.
This sounds like such made up bullshit.
And? That cost is constant. It shouldn’t cause fluctuations in price.
It’s not how all businesses work. Many businesses lower prices when there is a surplus. Consider filling up at the gas station for example.
It’s ridiculous that energy prices would go up when they are spending less on natural gas, coal, or whatever they are using to create the power.
Honestly crap like this is just going to encourage those that can afford it to install solar panels and backup batteries to load up on cheap electricity. Then the power company is really going to throw a hissy.
I wonder what the data entailed other than school name, student name, and grades?
EDIT: Found answer. It included social security numbers.
Doesn’t help. They just text you from another number under the name of a different PAC.
