Bold of you to assume winter fans are outside.

Man, I wish that was the case at places I worked at. My last company would give you stipends for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Try to spend that stipend at a convenience store because you don’t eat breakfast and just want some coffee and a snack for later? Screw you, we’re deducting from your paycheck for that.
I had a coworker who got caught on the wrong side of that policy. Since then, he’d always max out his stipend at every meal. Apps, desserts, etc. He’d get a second entree just to take back to his hotel as long as it wouldn’t put him over the limit.
He probably cost the company hundreds extra because they wouldn’t reimburse him for a bag of chips one time.
No it can’t wait until Monday at 9am, no there will not be a staged roll out and multiple rounds of testing.
I hope you’re doing internal product development. Otherwise, name and shame so I can stay the hell away from your product. This is a post-Crowdstrike world.
I spent a weekend helping my buddy who graduated magna cum laude with an Electrical and Computer Engineering degree build a PC. Given a breadboard and some schematics, he could probably have created working prototypes of half of the components, but figuring out where to put the screw risers under the motherboard? Forget about it.

Harris Teeter where I live. We do have Publix locations around now though. I still need to check them out and see if they live up to the hype.
The best sandwich shop in my town is the deli at the grocery store. They are less concerned about skimping on ingredients because it’s more important to entice you in and get you spending money in the aisles.
For $8 or $9 they will stuff a footlong sub so full they can barely fold it over. And it’s generally fresher ingredients than you’d find in a Subway
They’re not free, you’re paying for it somehow. Still not a bad idea to have more than one though.
I know some bank tellers who say they are taught to comply with ANY robbery instructions. Even if it’s as simple as someone slipping them a note saying, “This is a robbery” with no explicit threats. If they feel comfortable, they can slip him the marked bills or dye packs, but they won’t be punished if they don’t. Get the robber out, lock the door, call the cops.
I could totally see the tellers recognizing the avocado for what it was and figuring it was on the cops to catch him, not theirs.

Steam recently updated to make it way easier to switch between accounts. It used to be you had to authenticate every time, which was a pain with Steam Guard. Now there’s a Change Account function which won’t invalidate your authentication token though it does seem to sign you out until you switch back.
I use that to ensure I’m not advertising certain games to the world.
In the Windows client you can right-click and hide games. Is there a way to do that in SteamOS? I only see updates for games that aren’t hidden.
I had a copy of Are You Gonna Be My Girl by Jet that would cut out and loop back in the middle of the song. I listened to it so much I could sing along without missing a beat. Then whenever I heard the right version, it always felt weird when the song flowed through normally.
Is this some New Social Media platform problem I’m too elder millenial to understand?
