Yeah thinking the same. 10 series is new enough where 24 pin mobos were a thing, and so if it doesn’t have its own power connector then it’ll need quite a bit from the mobo.
Little bit of everything!

I was on a train crossing the border and border patrol came on and asked everyone if they had fruits or veg.
This group ahead of me said “we don’t eat that stuff” and then all four laughed. The sad punchline is that he thought he was so clever, but alli saw was 4 obese people not realizing how much they just said about themselves.

Alright I’ll admit that it’s generalized.
I’ll amend my statement. Those are the things we do because they’re respectful to the people we care about. OP, if you don’t want a relationship with your family in the future, then absolutely go for it and sever ties with them.
I’ve cut off family before, you just sever ties if they bring you no joy. What you don’t do though is act sulky and try to blame it on religion ( which they did, because if it wasn’t relevant they wouldn’t have mentioned it). That is not a mature way to handle it.
I have both a loving and caring side of the family and one who sucks all joy and happiness. I severed one off, the other I put on my good clothes and suffer through them telling me stories of things I don’t care about. That’s what you do when you care about people.
Its the same thing if your best friend goes out/marries someone you don’t like. You can cut off your friend, or you can do something immature like demanding they spend time with only you, or you can be a grown up and put up with their SO because you love your friend and know they make them happy, and you know your friend would be hurt if you made them choose. The spoiler though is that only one of those three options allows you to keep the friendship.

This isn’t about religion, even if you’re trying to make it about religion. You want to get out of your father’s funeral because it makes you uncomfortable.
Life is full of uncomfortable things, you’ll need to get used to it. There’s thousands of times you’ll need to suck it up and be around people you don’t like because it’s the respectful thing to do.
I’m agnostic, used to be atheist. I thought the same thing. Your fathers funeral, family dinners, respectful times, you’re not “making a stand” you’re being whiney and immature. Atheists celebrate Christmas, go to weddings and funerals. We just sit there silently and respectfully. That’s how we actually want to be viewed outside of a religious context.
Figure out the reason you don’t actually want to go and then learn from it. That’s what growing up is.

Congrats! I know it’s yet another app but I think you’ll find the audiobooks tailored experience is so much nicer

Luckily they have these people to help confirm who they hate that day

Yeah, I had a town of 15k and 5 miles up the road we had one around 300. They just contracted ours out. 300 peoples’ taxes is not a lot, why waste it on police who will what, catch that one kid every once in a while, or have to throw a drunk out of the only bar? Not worth it.

Are you not infotained?
Hey now, back when they cancelled sharing I cancelled my Netflix, and eeeeeveryone else said they were going to as well. Mines still cancelled, apparently others buckled? That’s on them.

Reverse the thinking. Adults don’t have views like conservative bigots.
I’m forced to use it at work and my token usage is monitored. Here was yesterday:
Build things thing, but remember: DO NOT DO THE THING.
Sure thing! I’ll build out and I will not do the thing
WTF YOU DID THE THING
You’re absolutely right, I did the thing even though you explicitly told me not to do the thing
I wonder if they will have metrics for how many times I’ve all caps sworn at it.

I’m a server asking with it.
I went from thousands of requests per minute down to 5. Five. Database was pegged constantly at 100% serving requests down to ~50% now. Huge difference.
that’s the civilized way
Its one of those moments which just makes you really happy to be here

Same as White Lives Matter.
Yeah, everyone already knows that, that’s kind of the point of why BLM exists

Yeah, I’m hopeful that changes. I know big projects require stronger leadership, but watching the comments on things made me feel like smaller OSS devs were like me and felt discouraged from helping out.

Jellyfin is the o ly OSS project I’ve walked away from a change. It was a simple exception thrown that could be ignored in very specific circumstances that I remember. I wrote up the change, left several lines of comments, looked up code style, files the bug and PR in the proper way and… Rejected.
My 2 or 3 line PR was nitpicked to hell, I think the fourth round of reviews I just walked away. It wasn’t worth it for me at that point.
So I’m not entirely surprised that they’re feeling burnout. It seemed exhausting getting anything done.

I remember that. Small town living is resentful of teenagers. Small kids are of course fine and adorable and cute - until they are teenagers. Then they don’t want to see you, they don’t want you to exist at all. You are in the adults and more likely, the elderly’s way.
So they will police everything you do as a teenager in your small town, exactly like you said. I remember I was driving home (from the gas station ironically from above) and suddenly noticed headlights were following my car. My friends and I were spooked, so we pulled into a parking lot to stop and hopefully they’d drive by. Turns out it was a cop, because of course it was. We were “acting suspicious”. Which yes we fucking were because we had an unknown car following us at night. He “let us off with a warning”.
I remember they built a brand new “youth center” for teenagers and kids to hang out at. Of course during the day it sat unused, so the old people started using it. Then the rules started coming in. Then we weren’t allowed to touch their things. Then you know it, they banned the kids altogether and it became a second community center, with teenagers not welcome. Took them a few years but they got it.
Then they wonder why kids act out. They’re micromanaged, they’re not allowed anywhere, they’re told to shut up and not be seen. So kids loiter, they get bored, and that leads to petty crime because there is nothing to fucking do in a small town. And adults are just baffled at the concept.
Here I am, 25 years later and I’m still livid at the “local leaders” of the small town. Their royal fiefdom in the middle of fucking nowhere, surrounded by cornfields. Got the hell out of there. May they rot there in their piercing agony of boredom.

It is crazy how many fish they can catch when they lure them from all over the lake to one spot.
Oh sorry, no thank you, I’ve been shaking too many hands lately, you know how it is fellow world leader
