How old are you? Even my parents, both in their 70s, use Celcius for everything.
To be fair though, your petrol is still insanely cheap compared to the UK and Europe.
Short distances should be meters, feet, inches, millimetres.
None of that fractions of an inch bollocks.
And milk is often actually in litres and half litres, we just assume it’s in pints. Clever little bit of shrinkflation.

11·2 months agoYou missed the “and” in the comment you were replying to. They can do fsd or they could do cheap. Not both. Though, to be honest I doubt they can do either.
As others have pointed out, 40 year tech still beat current tech.

Milk bottles are still imperial sized, but funnily I more often hear people say “big milk” '& “small milk” rather than pints.
It’s actually a real mix. Actually look at the milk you buy, some shops will do half litre, litre etc bottles some will do pint, 2 pint bottles. I’m pretty sure they’ll be priced the same. Clever little bit of shrinkflation where 0.5 litres is 68ml smaller.
I’m 38 and I use stone because that’s what I was taught as a kid. Metric for all other weights though.

Why are Americans so into Irish butter? It’s ok, but just about the same as British butter. French and danish butter though are completely different. It’s fermented.
