While snorkeling at St John USVI I was following a sea turtle from a distance. It was just such a vibe to watch this thing eating the turtle grass. Then some asshole comes flailing towards the turtle with a gopro on a stick and basically starts poking it. The turtle swam away with the guy chasing it. Pissed me off so much.

I went to a bar that evening and told the bar tender this story. He stopped what he was doing and looked sternly at me. He said in that moment I witnessed the turtle being harassed, if I had swam to shore and gotten some locals to help find a ranger then the dude would have been lucky to just walk away with a large fine and not get his ass kicked by the locals as well. Bartender made me promise to report it if I saw it again.

I’m my experience, the vast majority of people want to work. They just need their task clearly stated.

Also in my experience, people who call everyone else stupid and lazy are absolutely the problem.
