When I was a kid, I used to play video games while jumping around. I’d stand in front of the TV, bounce around, play Mario, run in circles. My parents didn’t care.

The moment Musk fired engineers, I removed my account. Then I watched Twitter integration fail for a few applications Ive worked on, and removed that login/access.

From there, I watched multiple services fail. Ive watched spam bots take over. I watched drama after drama, Musk demanding weird choices like his tweets get priority.

It’s such a mess.

I still remember when Big Data was the “hot new buzz word”. Millions spent to collect every time a customer farts. What did we do with that info? Nothing really. Except be ready to apologize when it gets leaked.

First software gig? In this market, take whatever to get experience imo.

But that second/third/etc job? Culture, then salary, then everything else. Last interview I went to bragged about giving everyone brand new sneakers yet pay $25k less than average.

Plex was amazing a few years ago. It continued to get shittier and shittier. But it did create the groundwork of what’s possible.

When a site says it’s free to use a tool so you have like 20 form fields you have to fill out and the results are locked behind a “Please create a free account” screen.

Haha most of us millennials in my circle are still struggling to own property.
