The job I do exists more than ever, no recruiter believes me because the only thing they look for is if you had “AI” in the title of your previous job

normalization is critical
Exactly. A lot of the pride month activities emphasized difference and separation, not normalization. Think back on the common narratives. You’ll find a lot of cases “we must accept gay people even though they are different”, more than “gay people are just normal people like everyone else”
The performative bs was actively harmful.
They must be appeased by a ritual dance performed every June or they’ll come down and punish you!
Exactly. Everytihng he said is suspect, and probably false.
Including the Keyser Soze origin story.
You know what we call people whose job is to pretend to be other people they are not? Actors.
If you’re in the cave and pull the lever the trolley kills (an illusion of) five people and you get out of the cave.
If you’re not in the cave you just kill five people. Do you pull the lever?
As someone who did live like image 1 in late 20s and early 30s, it sucks so much when you have to go back to image 2.
Maybe better not to experience it at all.
Centipedes can only envy you. Having only one pair of legs means you can afford footwear of any kind.
Same. Today I had a conversation which was mostly in English until I unconsciously switched to Spanish to the puzzlement of everyone. Neither is my native.
I’m still unclear if this is a real thing or an urban legend. Sure prostitution is one of the main economic activities in Dubai, and I’m sure many cater to very specific fetishes. But is it like a real thing that happens regularly?

What happens if you delete your AI that you (and only you) think it’s conscious? Is it murder even if the rest of the world says it’s not?

28·4 months agoThe AI even has a blog https://poc.bcachefs.org/
It writes exactly like you would expect an AI to write if given instruction to act a “stereotypical slightly unhinged AI assistant”

Yes it’s fiction, but how would that even work? She would have to say every thought out loud. And even then how does she have emotions without any internal thoughts?
Yes the brrrrrrrring machine
Also consider military meme communities for anything vaguely related to military actions

I had to look it up, it’s real. I’m not even surprised.
Ironically if you really want employees to be motivated by more than money, you need to pay even more.
Only people who don’t worry about money can afford to be motivated by other things.
