I bought my first carbon steel pan (a wok specifically) last week and I did a bad job at seasoning it for the first time. I had to scrub the shit out of it with steel wool and vinegar to reset. My second season was a little better but it’s still not fully non stick. I hope it will just naturally get better as I keep using it.

Yup, 2-3 teaspoons in a bowl of water. I rinse it with water again after soaking and that washes away any sourness left behind.

It probably doesn’t do much, but I soak it in water with vinegar for 10 minutes.

You might be thinking of pre-packaged salad which, while already washed, can still contain bacteria. But if you’re buying plain lettuce, it’s absolutely not pre-washed.

The worst part is a lot of them gave up the kids to foster care in a couple years because they didn’t want them anymore. And some were so negligent that they didn’t do the child’s naturalization paperwork properly making them technically illegal immigrants and deported as adults.

Hell, even if you can easily afford way more than that, you are still closer to the person who can only afford $2 of food a day than a billionaire.

There’s only one grocery store in my city that bakes a specific type of bread from my homr country. I make sure to buy 2 packs almost every week so they notice that they are being bought and don’t stop making them.
