Infighting, exactly what the upper class want out of us. Thanks for stoking the fire for them.

I’m surprised this distraction is so long-lived. People really are gullible. Perhaps it’s because most people are familiar with McDs but can’t relate to CEO level people, so they’re more willing to join in an attack on something they understand.

For anyone thinking I’m defending McDs somehow…you’re missing the point entirely. Which is interestingly my point…

Lol … the worker is a traitor, maybe … I’m never going to assign blame to a desperate person trying to find a way out of poverty. You and I would probably do the same in similar circumstances.

But McD’s is not a traitor because they were never loyal to anyone but their shareholders to begin with.

I don’t begrudge anyone trying to get out of poverty. This is another failure of the system. Mangione struck against that system, and a different arm of the system struck back.

If the worker had been paid reasonably, if wages had not stagnated for the last three decades, if the ruling class didn’t demand infinite profit out of a finite system, neither event would’ve happened.

The real rat here is McDonald’s, making the reward money enticing by paying too poorly.

For me, it’s the cruelty, violence and atrocity. But what they do to humans is bad, too.

Edit: Oh. This is about the bloodlust thing you are all doing. Have fun without me.

Really? I mean whatever your motivation great, your body thanks you and I appreciate not supporting this stain on society but this is some pretty stretched out thinking.

As much as I dislike McDonald’s for what they represent from a health and cultural standpoint, I want to give a plug for the Ronald McDonald House Charity. It is a huge help for families of people who are ill and nothing quite matches the resources they provide. If you are feeling charitable at all this month, I can vouch that donating to them is money well spent. If you are boycotting the restaurant for whatever reason, consider giving whatever you would have normally spent there to RMH.

They donated large amounts to the large orange turd.

As for the “charity” it’s funded by money guilted out of customers. The multi billion dollar corporation collects extra money from customers and gets a tax write off. I don’t see this as a good thing at all when that’s by far not the only way too do it, it’s the greedy selfish way to get people such as yourself to defend said multi billion dollar corporation though, isn’t it?

Really think you need to separate the two entities a bit. I’m not aware of RMHC donating to any presidential campaign. Quite certain that did not happen. Please reread my post. Does it sound like I’m defending McDonald’s? Despite their efforts it’s easy to see the difference. Despite ugly roots they are doing a really good thing that no one else is anywhere close to this scale. I think it’s important to separate the two entities.

It was one employee at one location. It wasn’t McDonalds that did this. The logo does not represent the element that turned Luigi in. It was a person who did that, who happens to work at a McDonalds.
