      Here’s some others:

      • Windows is garbage. The last time windows was good was Windows [10, 7, 2000, NT, 3.1, O/S2].
      • don’t you care about your privacy?
      • All AI is all slop all the time. If you think of using AI you are garbage.
      • Star Trek. I have no issues with my Star Trek homies. Y’all are awesome.

I’m sure Linux is overrepresented across the whole of Lemmy but to be fair, we are in a community specifically about Linux. You could also just block the term Linux and be done with it

If you think this meme is a depiction of something worth blocking all Linux communities over, then we are not on the same page. I was just poking fun.

Let me interject for a moment. What you’ve referred to as “butter” is actually “I can’t believe it’s not/butter”. Have a pleasant day!

That’s the one! Funny store about the name - it’s a recursive condiment.

before you reach for butter, have you even considered whether or not a rolling release distro is right for you?

I have to start looking for something a bit lighter than Ubuntu for my old Toughbook CF-30. I had Mint on an older laptop, years ago, and liked it. I’m not opposed to any flavor of Linux…I just want easy, the closest thing to issue/maintenance free, while taking full advantage or the specs I have to work with.

Can’t speak a ton on the part about taking full advantage of your hardware, but Debian is THE Just Works™ solution of Linux distributions. I’ve had not a single problem on Debian. I was on rolling-release Ubuntu (actually, it was KDE Neon) for a year after my first few weeks on Kubuntu, on which Plasma was TERRIBLY broken at the time. It used to apparently be broken on either Kubuntu or Neon at any given time, and never both, and I think it’s stable enough everywhere now, but once I came to Debian, I have decided to never look back or “ahead”. There’s always an alternative method to achieve what you want on Debian.

Alright guys I’m gonna tell you…I don’t use butter on my grilled cheese.

Nah. I use mayonnaise. A very thin coating, it doesn’t take much – and ultimately it’s easier for butter to be many more calories and taste inferior
