‘big tech is too big theres no fighting it its already too late’

omegachads
Man the omegaverse girlies keep dropping new lore, how am I supposed to keep up with these terms
Nihilism is for suckers. I’m going to make the world a better place and have some fun along the way too.
That’s actually optimistic nihilism <insert nerd emoji>
Ubermensch?
I would assume that if they want to make the world a better place, they admit that their actions have long-reaching impact, which is not really a feature of nihilism, optimistic or not
But I’m not an expert, do what you want

We have not failed to prevent climate change. We have failed to prevent some climate change. How much more we get depends directly on what we do about it now. And now the best you can do is keeping that in mind when going to vote and spending money.
Friendly reminder that we have already identified and largely fixed a climate change problem, the depletion of the Ozone layer, and we can fix other problems too:
The Montreal Protocol is considered the most successful international environmental agreement to date. Following the bans on ozone-depleting chemicals, the UN projects that under the current regulations the ozone layer will completely regenerate by 2045, thirty years earlier than previously predicted.
The best time to save the planet was 10 years ago. The next best time is now.
Works for a lot of topics that certain users around here are trying to force everyone to perceive as literally the only thing that matters.
It sucks that that one tree you really care a lot about got vandalized, burnt, and cut down, but you gotta realize there’s a whole fuckin lot more trees out there that we still CAN save. This commentary should be taken in both a literal and a figurative sense.
It’s not about fixing the problem anymore.
It’s about staying alive to watch bad things happen to bad people.
Turns out that just because you begin to stab yourself doesn’t mean you can’t stop pushing the knife in and staunch the bleeding.
Why capitalism loves doomers:
Thanks for sharing this. I wasn’t familiar with this channel, not I’m liking it.
I just read that this guy was part of Nebula and was forced out. It’s remarkable that he’s forced out for speaking openly and defending his beliefs when Isaac Arthur is tolerated despite having much more onerous politics but having them in secret. Smh.
Who’s the guy in the second panel? I swear I’ve seen this guy somewhere recently and it’s been seriously bugging me
Christopher Walken
Thank you so much! I checked that he starred in the show ‘Severance’ which I just watched recently, which is why I could recognise his face.
If that is the only place you have seen Christopher Walken, then you seriously need to update yourself on Christopher Walken movies. He is great in everything he is in, and you are missing out on a legend of a man.
You have two options:
Kill industryIsolated compound
Neither is guaranteed to pay off.
There’s loads of options.
Plenty of science that could potentially save us if invested properly.
Lab grown meat. Carbon capture. Using said carbon capture for building materials. Nuclear fusion. Outer atmosphere energy generation. Etc.
There’s also cutting back on our consumerism.
Once it gets bad enough that it affects the super rich the world’s governments will miraculously and quickly act as one.
Highly doubt we can have our cake and eat it too. By the time the ultra wealthy feel it. They’ll be ordering next quarterly earnings from their bunkers. We’ve already Fist of the North Star’d ourselves.
I’m gonna take psychedelics and travel to a different planet. Fuck this place.
